Access Log Manager
Find out about the Access Log Manager as well as the details that will be within it.
An access log is a complete list of all the files which were accessed by the guests of a certain site. Every file that was requested for some reason will be listed, so if you have only one page with three embedded pics, one video and one embedded text file, as an example, the access log shall contain a total of six entries - one for any of the six files which were accessed when the website visitor opened the page. A log normally provides the file name and path, the date, along with the visitor’s Operating System, browser and IP address. In some cases you can also find the referrer Internet sites that sent the visitors to your website. The info that an access log file provides is in human-readable plain text format. It could be processed by special software on a PC and used to write reports on the efficiency of a website, in addition to the web stats which your hosting server may have generated.
Access Log Manager in Cloud Web Hosting
Our in-house built Hepsia CP has a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are one of them. As soon as you sign in to your cloud web hosting account and visit this section, you will find a list of all the domain names and subdomains you have. All it takes to permit the generation of access logs is to press a button which will be available next to each and every domain/subdomain. If the option is active, you will see a download link together with the file size so far, so you'll be able to save the file to your personal computer and view it or process it with some app. Enabling or disabling the logs becomes effective instantly, so if you don't require one, you may stop it with a click from the same exact section of the CP. You will still be able to access the already created content by clicking on the Download link.
